Kauai Marches Against GMO

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” ― Margaret Mead

Kauai showed up in huge numbers ( at least 1500) yesterday to March against the practices of chemical companies like Monsanto, Syngenta, Dow, Dupont, and Bayer on this island of Kauai.  These huge chemical companies, who masquerade  as  "farmers" on this island, as well as each and every island in Hawaii are growing crops that are sprayed with up to 70 different chemicals, pesticides, and herbicides.  They spray while the population of this tinny island sleeps.  The chemicals are in our water, in our soil and in the  air and dust that blows and we breathe.

IT was pouring rain but Kauai's ohana showed up!!!   Mahalo Kauai!!!  AThe ALOHA that this island is most known for was amazing!!!  The love and peaceful intentions was contagious!!!  This is the start of something huge.  We shall overcome the corportaization of our island!!!  We shall overcome the damage and heal our land, our people our future generations!
Be active!  Be aware of  the BILLs before our Legislature that relate to anything regarding the zoning and determination of our lands as well as the practices upon this land.  Be aware and educate yourself by getting involved with all bills presented to our Legislature regarding the labeling, growing and distribution of GMO crops and food.   Here is a link to just a few for the state of Hawaii: Hawaii Legislature GMO Bills

MONSANTO we want YOU EVICTED from KAUAI, and ALL of HAWAII!!

"We are here to love one another, to care for one another and to uplift  one another."

Today, on this beautiful island of Kauai, we are marching in a peaceful demonstration with loud voices and signs stating our concerns with the continued disregard to LIFE that Monsanto and the other DANGEROUS FOUR corporations have inflicted upon us.

For at least TWO decades now this land  and her people and animals of Hawaii and my Kauai have been adulterated, abused, poisoned and treated as if we are all dispensable!  The actions and practices of these chemical companies, gone farmers, has absolutely got to STOP!!  They are NOT growing food to feed the world people.  They are growing seed, experimentally, just to see how much pesticides and murderous combination cocktails of these pesticides one crop can withstand.  They spray daily without any warnings.  We are all being poisoned!  This is criminal...this is insane....this is murderous!!!  We march today to say loud and clear:
MONSANTO we want YOU EVICTED from KAUAI, and ALL of HAWAII!!

#65, Another senseless drowning...

"Ignorance is the worst form of disease, and that which heals ignorance is therefore the most potent of all medicine"   Rosicrucian

This last weekend brought yet another death of drowning in our ocean here on Kauai.  This makes for NINE drownings in NINE weeks.  Another person is lost to the sea..not to be found.  A visitor to this island and another person not realizing the pure danger our ocean is..especially in the winter.  Walking along a very rocky shoreline with surf pounding..what were these folks thinking??  were they even thinking???  Some are beginning to think that folks are coming here to commit suicide by ignorance.  I don't mean to sound harsh but enough is enough.  This is getting ridiculous!!  Come on people, especially men because all but one have been male...wise up and respect the ocean.  Don't even get near it..stay in your car and watch in awe from afar!!

Golden light of Hope

"Spirit, please saturate me with loving, healing light. Please release all energies that don't serve me. And let this be so to the greatest extent that serves the highest good."

May the warmth of pure ALOHA bathe you in golden light of hope ♥

60 Days Into 2013

"The ocean is composed of drops of water, each drop is an entity and yet it is part of the whole, the ‘one and the many"  Unknown

Our ocean and rivers around Kauai have been so treacherous this year. In 8 weeks, 8 drownings.  In 60 days there have been 6 ocean drownings and 2 river drownings. Six of these drownings were visitors to this island and 2 were local men who knew the ocean.  This is a total of 8 lives taken from what began as only one drop of water...the entity of the whole mass of drops of water, rather it be the ocean or a river.  This "one of the many"  not only has the ability to carve stone, shift masses of sand, sculpt canyons, clear forest, move rocks, destroy man-made dwellings and structures,  but will take the living breath from a human in seconds.  Changing life in an instant.

PLEASE be smart, safe, aware and ever so cautious of our ocean and rivers here while visiting Kauai.  If in ANY doubt, DON'T go out!   sit and watch the rhythm of the ocean...watch it for a long time to see just how the sea moves; gather respect  the power of just one wave.   A reminder for those of us who live on Kauai..ALWAYS respect and revere our sea!

My heart and prayers continue to go out to the many loved ones of those swept away by the force of water.  My heart and prayers go out to my community here on this tinny island in the heart of the Pacific Ocean, my Kauai.  For we all are touched with each and every life that transcends to the beyond...through that infinite place of gathered drops of water.
