Kauai Marches Against GMO

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” ― Margaret Mead

Kauai showed up in huge numbers ( at least 1500) yesterday to March against the practices of chemical companies like Monsanto, Syngenta, Dow, Dupont, and Bayer on this island of Kauai.  These huge chemical companies, who masquerade  as  "farmers" on this island, as well as each and every island in Hawaii are growing crops that are sprayed with up to 70 different chemicals, pesticides, and herbicides.  They spray while the population of this tinny island sleeps.  The chemicals are in our water, in our soil and in the  air and dust that blows and we breathe.

IT was pouring rain but Kauai's ohana showed up!!!   Mahalo Kauai!!!  AThe ALOHA that this island is most known for was amazing!!!  The love and peaceful intentions was contagious!!!  This is the start of something huge.  We shall overcome the corportaization of our island!!!  We shall overcome the damage and heal our land, our people our future generations!
Be active!  Be aware of  the BILLs before our Legislature that relate to anything regarding the zoning and determination of our lands as well as the practices upon this land.  Be aware and educate yourself by getting involved with all bills presented to our Legislature regarding the labeling, growing and distribution of GMO crops and food.   Here is a link to just a few for the state of Hawaii: Hawaii Legislature GMO Bills
